Minecraft pixel art maker: draw your own

Every square is one block. Draw it, then build it with the guide!

Draw Minecraft pixel art on a block grid: every square is one block. Pick a size from 16 × 16 up to 128 × 128 (one map, 16,384 blocks), draw with 16 concrete colours or add more blocks, and the block list counts every block. Then build it row by row with the guide, or download a .litematic, .schem or .mcstructure file.

Files for the game and a print sheet

Ask a grown-up to help put a file into the game. In Creative, a .litematic or .schem loads with a building mod, and a .mcstructure loads with a structure block.

What you need

64 blocks = 1 stack. Playing in Creative? You already have every block.

Open it, then make it yours: new colours, a hat, a face…

From a photo or a drawing on paper

We turn it into blocks on this device. Nothing is uploaded. Then you can change every block.

Pick a block

How it works

  1. Draw. The grid shows every block. Pick a colour and draw. Fill colours a whole area in one tap, Mirror draws both halves at once, and Undo fixes any mistake.
  2. Choose wall or floor. Stand the picture up as a wall to see it from far away, or lay it flat on the ground like a big rug.
  3. Build it. Press "Build it with the guide". It goes one row at a time from the bottom, says how many blocks of which colour come next, and cheers when a row is done.

Everything happens on this device: no account, nothing is uploaded. Grown-ups: the share link holds the whole drawing in the address, so it opens the same on any computer.

Questions

How do I make my own Minecraft pixel art?

Draw it here on the block grid: every square is one block. When you are happy, press Build it with the guide and place the blocks row by row from the bottom, or download a .litematic, .schem or .mcstructure file to load it in Creative.

Can I turn a photo into Minecraft pixel art?

Yes. Press New / start from, then Pick a picture. We change it into concrete, wool and terracotta blocks on your device (nothing is uploaded), and then you can change every block yourself.

How many blocks do I need?

Open What you need: it lists every block in your drawing with the exact number and how many stacks of 64 that is. The number changes while you draw. A full 32 × 32 picture is 1,024 blocks, which is 16 stacks of 64.

What is the difference between drawing and the pixel art generator?

The pixel art generator turns a photo or picture into blocks for you. Here you place every block yourself. You can mix both: turn a picture into blocks, then press Open in the editor to change any block.

Is my drawing saved?

Your drawing is kept in this browser while you draw. Press Save to keep it in My builds, or Copy link to share it: the link holds the whole drawing, so nothing is uploaded.
