Minecraft hexagon generator block by block
Pick a width and get the exact hexagon in blocks, with a block count and a 3D view. A 21 wide hexagon outline takes 56 blocks (295 filled). Stack it into a hexagon tower or export it to the game.

Thin outline, thick outline and filled counts for common widths (corner to corner).
How to use it
4 steps
- Set the width, measured corner to corner. Odd widths have a single centre block.
- Pick the wall: thin, thick (no diagonal gaps) or filled for a floor.
- Add layers for a hexagon tower, and pick a block.
- Build or export: phone build mode, the A4 sheet, or a .litematic / .schem / .mcstructure file.
Questions builders ask
How many blocks is a 21 wide hexagon?
A 21 wide hexagon outline is 56 blocks thin and 74 thick; filled it is 295 blocks. The 21 is the corner-to-corner width.
Why are two sides straight and four sides stepped?
A block grid only has straight lines along the two axes and at 45°. A regular hexagon has sides at 60°, so the four slanted sides become steps. The generator places a block when its centre is inside the hexagon, so the steps follow the true shape as closely as the grid allows.
How do I make a hexagon tower?
Set the layers. A 25 wide hexagon wall, thick, 6 layers high is 516 blocks. Thick walls have no diagonal gaps, so they work as real walls.
Can I tile hexagons for a hex floor or base?
Build one hexagon, then copy it so each neighbour shares an edge. Odd widths keep a single centre block, which makes lining up neighbours easier.
