How to use it

4 steps
  1. Set the width of the bottom ball. The middle ball and the head get smaller by themselves.
  2. Hat on or off, then pick a wall: thin (fewest blocks), thick or solid.
  3. Pick four blocks: snow, hat, eyes and buttons, and nose.
  4. Build or export: step through the layers, use build mode on your phone, or download a file for Java or Bedrock.

Questions builders ask

How many blocks is a Minecraft snowman?
A snowman with an 11 wide bottom ball takes 563 blocks: 472 snow blocks, 85 for the hat, 5 coal blocks for the eyes and buttons and 1 for the nose. It stands 28 blocks tall. A giant one, 21 wide at the bottom, takes 1,696 blocks.
How do I build a big snowman in Minecraft?
Build three balls, biggest at the bottom: with an 11 wide bottom ball the middle ball is 9 wide and the head is 7 wide. Each ball sinks a little into the one below so they stick together. Then add the hat, the eyes, the buttons and the nose. The tool shows every layer.
Is this the same as a snow golem?
No. A snow golem is a small mob you make from two snow blocks and a carved pumpkin. This is a big snowman decoration that you build block by block, like a statue.
Will the snow blocks melt?
No. Snow blocks do not melt, even next to torches. Only thin snow layers and ice melt near light.
Hollow or solid?
Hollow is the default and saves blocks: the 11 wide snowman takes 563 blocks hollow and 1,373 solid. Pick "Thick" walls if you want no gaps when you look from inside.
