Minecraft tower generator with a spire roof

Set the width, the wall height and the roof height and get a round tower with a cone roof, layer by layer with a 3D view. A 9 wide tower with a 16 high wall and a 9 high spire takes 590 blocks and stands 25 tall. Make the roof tall and pointed or low for a castle, and give the roof its own block.

How to use it

4 steps
  1. Set the width of the round wall. Odd widths have a single centre block.
  2. Set the wall height and the roof height (0 = open top). The roof sticks out one block past the wall.
  3. Pick the wall: thin (fewest blocks) or thick, then the blocks for the wall, the roof and the top ring.
  4. Build or export: step through the layers, use build mode on your phone, or download a schematic.

Questions builders ask

How many blocks is a Minecraft tower?
A round tower 9 wide with a 16 high wall and a 9 high spire roof takes 590 blocks and stands 25 blocks tall. A bigger 13 wide tower, 24 high with a 13 high roof, takes 1,270.
How do I build a pointed tower roof?
Give the roof a height about equal to the tower width or more: a tall, pointed cone that sticks out one block past the wall on every side. The generator builds that cone layer by layer, so you only copy one ring per layer.
Can the roof be a different block?
Yes. A tower has three blocks: the wall, the roof and a ring on the top layer of the wall. Pick a block for each one; the material list shows how many of each you need. Leave one on "same as the wall" to use the wall block there.
How do I make a flatter roof for a castle tower?
Lower the roof height. A 15 wide tower with a 6 high roof is a low, wide cap (1,186 blocks with a 20 high wall). Set the roof to 0 for an open top you can finish with battlements, or use the dome generator for a round roof.
Thin or thick walls?
Thin walls are airtight and use the fewest blocks. Thick walls fill every diagonal step, so the tower looks solid from inside too: the 13 wide tower goes from 1,270 to 1,732 blocks.
Can I put stairs inside?
Yes. Make the wall at least 7 wide, then use the spiral staircase generator with a well 2 smaller than the tower: a 5 × 5 staircase fits inside a 7 wide tower wall.
