27 block circle in Minecraft (radius 13)
A 27-block-wide circle takes 76 blocks for a 1-block outline and 577 to fill it. Go around each quarter in runs of 7·3·1·2·2·1·3·7. The centre is a single block, because 27 is odd.

| Outline, thin wall (diagonal steps) | 76 |
| Outline, thick wall (no diagonal gaps) | 104 |
| Filled disc | 577 |
| Flat edge on each side | 7 |
| 5-high tower wall | 380 · 5×64 + 60 |
Rule: a block counts when its centre lies inside the circle, the same grid the game uses. Checked 21 Oct 2026.
How to build it
- Mark the centre block. Count 13 blocks out from the centre block in all four directions and mark those four points.
- Place the four flat edges of 7. Centre each flat edge on one of the four points: 3 blocks either side of it.
- Fill each corner with 3·1·2·2·1·3. After each run, step one block diagonally inward and place the next run. Do the same in all four corners.
- Repeat for each layer. A straight wall is the same ring on every layer (a 5-high wall takes 380 blocks). A dome or sphere shrinks the ring as it goes up.
All 27 rows, north to south
Each row lists its runs of blocks from west to east; "2-2" means 2 blocks, a gap, then 2 blocks.

Questions
How many blocks is a 27 block circle?
76 blocks for a 1-block outline with diagonal steps, 104 for an outline with no diagonal gaps, and 577 for a filled disc.
Should I build 27 or 26?
27 is odd, so the circle has one centre block: doors, beacons and pillars line up with the middle. 26 has a 2×2 centre instead.
How many blocks for a 27 sphere or dome?
A hollow 27 block sphere with a 1-block shell takes 1,830 blocks; a hollow 27 dome (14 layers, open at the bottom) takes 925. Plan them layer by layer in the sphere generator or the dome generator.
Thin or thick outline?
A thin outline (76 blocks) steps diagonally, so mobs and water can slip through the corners. A thick outline (104 blocks) adds a block at every step, which makes a sealed wall.
