How to build Halloween pixel art

  1. Pick a picture and collect the blocks in its list. 64 blocks make one stack.
  2. Find a flat spot as wide as the picture: a wall of your house or an empty field.
  3. Start at the bottom row, count the squares from the left and place the same blocks.
  4. Go up one row at a time. Empty squares stay empty, so the night sky shows through.
  5. Light it up: a few torches or lanterns in front make it glow at night.

Questions

What is the easiest Halloween pixel art in Minecraft?

The little spider: 11 × 10 and only 40 blocks. The ghost (103 blocks) and the pumpkin (80 blocks) are good next steps.

What blocks do I need for Halloween pixel art?

Concrete in orange, black, white, purple, yellow and green does almost everything here. Concrete looks the same in Java and Bedrock, and every card lists the exact number of each block.

How do I build pixel art in Minecraft?

Start with the bottom row of the grid and go up one row at a time. Every square is one block, and empty squares stay empty. Press Build it row by row and the guide shows the next blocks for you.

Can I change a picture to make my own?

Yes. Press Change it: make it yours and the picture opens in our drawing editor. Change colours, add a hat or a face, then build your own version with the guide.
